Heart of Worship (Matt Redman)

 John 4:23

“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.

This song became an all-time favourite of Christians. The message of the song is all about worshipping God from the heart. Sometimes the Sunday service is becoming so familiarized and so formal/casual that we tend to focus on how flawless and how skillful they play with the instruments and they sing songs.

This song touches every heart of a believer whether you are on-fire Christian (as you should have to) or a Christian who grew cold. In Christ, we worship for Him. It’s all about Him.

We are serving a living God. And since He’s real, we must be so real before Him. God desires true worshippers. He can’t afford to look at second-rated acdt of worship. Whenever we worship the King, be on our best! Give your all! After all, He gave us everything we have and everything we are right now. Mostly, we worship Him because we love Him, not out of fear of judgment, but out of reverence.

Unless we worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, we can;t have this heart of worship. Desire this night and day. Meditate on His Word. And when he given that heart to us, let’s nurture it day by day. Let’s draw closer to the Throne. For in Him alone we can truly be safe and have a peaceful, meaningful life on earth – a life worthy of His praise.

 Lyrics:

When the music fades
And all is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that’s of worth
That will bless your heart
I’ll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the ways things appear
You’re looking into my heart

Chorus:
I’m coming back to the heart of worship
And it’s all about You, all about You, Jesus
I’m sorry Lord for the things I’ve made it
When it’s all about You, It’s all about You Jesus
King of endless worth
No one could express
How much You deserve
Though I’m weak and poor
All I have is Yours
Every single breath

I’ll bring You more than just a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You’re looking into my heart

I’m coming back to the heart of worship
And it’s all about You
All about You, Jesus
I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it
When it’s all about You
It’s all about You Jesus

Its all about you
Jesus
