Word of the day:
“So I went to Perath and dug up the belt and took it from the place where I had hidden it, but now it was ruined and completely useless. Then the word of the LORD came to me: “This is what the LORD says: ‘In the same way I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem. These wicked people, who refuse to listen to my words, who follow the stubbornness of their hearts and go after other gods to serve and worship them, will be like this belt—completely useless! For as a belt is bound around the waist, so I bound all the people of Israel and all the people of Judah to me,’ declares the LORD, ‘to be my people for my renown and praise and honor. But they have not listened.’” – Jeremiah 13: 7-11
It is not the devil that is responsible for Judah to be away from God. It’s their pride. Judah, once a tribe so holy and worshipper of God, turned their hearts away from God, fulfilled their own ways.
Be careful as you listen to the Word of God. Never let your pride interpret the gospel for you.
How do we put our pride into proper alignment with God? Learn to pride of God’s ways. Submit your pride to God. Go back to the bible, check if your life is still aligned with God’s commandments. Listen not to the stubborn voice inside of you, rather than verify thru the bible if the voice you are hearing is God’s small, still voice. Let the Holy Spirit guide you there. Discern the voice of God. God’s Word is a lamp on your feet and a light on your path. Never (even it’s tempting) to walk on your own. You never know the road you never travelled into before, right?
Allow God to bind you with His lovingkindness. His law will protect you and preserve you and your descendants. His law is sweet.
We only struggle sometimes if we are not in the truth.
If we knew we are pleasing God, whom shall we fear? We knew we got a great God who is able to bring us into victory. We will finish this mandate of righteousness God entrusted on us. And we will finish strong!
This is the original plan for us:
“For as a belt is bound around the waist, so I bound all the people of Israel and all the people of Judah to me,’ declares the LORD, ‘to be my people for my renown and praise and honor.”
Conquer it, it’s yours…
Isn’t it fair to give our very best to our Maker?
