Shining Like Stars

Word of the day:

“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.” Philippians 2:14-15 NIV

Today marks another milestone in our lives. May each day be a victorious day for everyone of us. There is inside of us the desire to honor God. Let’s make it a goal to please Him, to put a smile on His face.

Paul reminded that for God to accept everything that we are doing for Him, we have to do wholeheartedly. That distinguishes us from the rest of the world! Discipline plays a great part here. Let’s stand for the glory of God. And in service, let no murmuring and vested interest be found in our hearts. For we are called to worship and glorify Him. No more, no less.

As we humble ourselves before God, so is He elevate us. The great thing about a star (aside from being above as signifies authority) is that it is surrounded by stars! Together, they share each other’s light. Oh, how great is the light. Have we refused to follow God, otherwise, we will be in darkness, together with people who are alienated from God. Oh, how vast is the darkness!

The key to survive in this dying generation is to live for the glory of God. God bless you.

Additional Insights:

When God is elevating you, He’s leading you to a unfamiliar place. Then you will experience something that’s new to you, a new realm, a new way of living… in His presence.

Somehow, we desire to be in His presence, yet we want to stay attached to a place where we’re in.  That comfort zone, that lifestyle is not for us to dwell with. We can’t dwell with the rest of the world, having the  same walk of life, then confessing we are His people! We’re not trying to have a “lone ranger” attitude here. It’s just that we have to be identified by His standard. As we grow deeper in love with Him, then we are getting farther from living in sins. God hates sins and we have to stay away from it. We can’t have alternative lifestyle. As we say we are of God, so is our testimonies should confirm that. Let’s pray that God will provide us with strength and endurance to dwell in the beauty of His holiness.
