*[[Psa 84:11]] ISV* For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD grants grace and favor; the LORD will not withhold any good thing from those who walk blamelessly.
I hear a preacher shout blessings in the midst of a congregation. People are very interested. I have nothing against that, in fact i’m with them. We can find in scripture that blessings will surely follow us whenever we go. But there’s another context in scripture we have to consider. It’s not that we’re after the blessing then we’ll have it. Look at the requirement: “walk blamelessly.”
Query is, is it possible to walk blamelessly? Who will cast the first stone?
When we think about blameless, we’ll start to imagine Jesus – a man who walked in the face of the earth and did not sinned. Does it mean that we will “copy” him? Of course not! That’s blasphemy. Instead, we follow him. We declare that He is our Lord and Savior, and we entrust everyday of our life with Him. That’s how we walk. In doing so, we’re wearing God’s robe of righteousness. That’s for me is walking blamelessly – living in the beauty of His holiness.
Our God is generous, He will not withheld any good thing from us. Instead for chasing blessings, let’s pursue a blameless life. And surely, whatever good stuff we can think of will be given to us.
